Description
Yucaipa Valley Water District is seeking bids for asphalt repair and maintenance at sites in Yucaipa and Calimesa. Work includes removing existing or temporary asphalt, installing hot patch, saw cutting and cleanup, asphalt grinding and overlay, adjusting manholes, and subsurface repairs for subsidence. The contractor must follow the cities’ paving standards and applicable CARB, prevailing-wage, and Department of Industrial Relations requirements. The successful contractor must obtain applicable city business licenses before contract award and maintain them throughout the agreement. The contractor is responsible for coordinating and supervising subcontractors, and must list proposed subcontractors. Bidders must complete the provided Proposal Form (Attachment A) and submit the Non-Collusion Statement (Attachment B) and the Bid/Price Form (Attachment C). The proposal must include all listed items, total pricing, additional costs, bidder identification, and a binding signature. Bidders must have at least five years of similar-work experience; the District may request five references. The contractor must begin work within ten working days of award or as directed, and complete repairs within the specified timeframe after notice to proceed.
