Description
The University of Manitoba is establishing a project-specific prequalified list of civil underground contractors for upcoming riverbank stabilization and infrastructure repair projects. The contemplated work includes site preparation and restoration, erosion control, riprap blankets, rockfill columns, outfall pipe replacement, culvert and gate repairs, drainage-swale regrading, geotextile and geomembrane installation, traffic management, quality assurance and control, subcontractor management, and natural revegetation, including tree, shrub, willow, and native-grass planting. The initial project areas are Outfall 5 and Culvert 105 at the Fort Garry campus along the Red River, with additional outfalls contemplated through March 31, 2029. Applicants must submit the required prequalification attachments covering confirmation, bonding capacity, insurance, workplace health and safety, financial information, disputes, conflicts of interest, corporate information, subcontracting, comparable civil infrastructure projects, management methods, and references. Addendum 2 clarifies that the Attachment L survey questionnaire is informational only and is not a required submittal. Addendum 1 waives the professional liability insurance requirement because the anticipated work does not involve consulting services.
