Description
The City of Omaha is seeking a contractor to provide labor, materials, tools, and supervision to install a new span-wire traffic signal at the intersection of 159th Street and Ida Street. Work includes electrical site work, excavation and backfilling, temporary traffic control, installation of poles and signal equipment, and furnishing and installing specified conduit, signal and service cables, grounding conductors, tether and support cables, and related components. The plans and specifications govern the work, which must comply with the City of Omaha Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, 2026 Edition, and the project special provisions and drawings. The City will provide several major components, including poles, signal heads, pedestrian signal equipment, the controller and cabinet, and a service disconnect pedestal; OPPD will provide the street-lighting luminaires. The response requires electronic completion of bid line items and submission of a Certificate of Insurance, Employee Classification Act and Fair Labor affidavit, Responsible Contractor Compliance Form, Certificate of Compliance, and a tabulation of subcontractors, suppliers, or other entities. A performance bond is required after award.
