Description
The City of Tontitown is soliciting bids to construct the remaining approximately 1,336 linear feet of the Fletcher Avenue collector roadway westward to Klenc Road, including half-street improvements along Klenc Road as Deductive Alternate No. 1. Work includes site preparation, roadway excavation and embankment, engineered subgrade, storm drainage, water main and related appurtenances, aggregate base and asphalt paving, curb and gutter, sidewalks, a multi-use trail, driveways, ADA ramps, fencing, erosion and sediment control, pavement markings and signs, street trees, and traffic control. The base-bid contract time is 180 calendar days to substantial completion and 210 calendar days to final completion; if the alternate is deducted, the respective periods are 150 and 180 calendar days. A mandatory pre-bid conference is required to submit a bid. Bids must include bid security equal to 5% of the total base bid, and the successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to the contract price.
