Description
The Metropolitan Library System (MLS) is requesting bids for a Holds Locker System to be installed at the exterior entrance of the new East Edmond Library. This system will allow guests to pick up library materials through self-service dispensing, accessible 24/7. The system must be capable of operating normally in outdoor conditions and fit within a designated space, with preliminary layout drawings to be provided by the vendor. The MLS uses barcodes and RFID tags for material identification, and the proposed system must support SIP2 connectivity with their current ILS (TLC's Carl Solution) and be reconfigurable for a future migration to Innovative Interface's Polaris. If the system uses RFID, it must also demonstrate the ability to read legacy ISO 15693 tags. The bid must include all necessary software, hardware, installation, implementation, training, consultation, testing, maintenance, and support for the first year, with pricing for subsequent years also required. The system should maximize capacity within the provided space, and the selected vendor will work with library staff on system testing and integration.
