Description
The 48th Contracting Squadron at RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, is conducting market research to identify sources capable of providing a CBRN M4A1 JCAD Simulator or equal. The simulator must be a high-fidelity training device that mimics the real-world M4A1 JCAD chemical detector, with a true-to-life interface and a design that is easily distinguishable from actual equipment (e.g., green body with blue rain cap cover). It must detect and simulate a wide array of agents including nerve, blood, blister agents, and toxic industrial chemicals (TICs), as well as false positives. The simulator should respond to electronic sources simulating chemical vapors or TICs, and allow instructors to control scenarios via a dedicated remote, including setting decontamination effectiveness, persistency, contamination levels, and effects of wind direction and temperature. The requirement is for four units to be delivered to Building 1092 on RAF Lakenheath.
