Description
This Sources Sought announcement seeks information from qualified contractors capable of manufacturing and delivering the Survival Vest Improvement System (SVSI), consisting of the VIPER survival vest and the Serpent low-profile Life Preserver Unit. The VIPER design incorporates an armor release system, while the Life Preserver Unit technical data package is owned by Switlik Parachute Company. The Government will provide the vest technical data package with a future solicitation but does not possess the data rights necessary to distribute the Life Preserver Unit technical data package at this stage. Respondents should describe their capability to manufacture and deliver the system, experience manufacturing similar equipment, relevant past performance if available, experience manufacturing Critical Safety Items, and production capacity. Anticipated production is 260 to 1,543 units annually, with the potential for higher quantities. The Government anticipates a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity solicitation in Fiscal Year 2027. This notice is for market research only; respondents must not submit pricing, and responses will not constitute quotes or result directly in a contract award.
