Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires the furnishing and installation of commercial automatic single bi-fold sliding door assemblies. These assemblies include door panels, frames, transmitter buttons, and receiver components. The doors are intended for installation within existing openings at the Malcom Randall VAMC Bed Tower to enhance patient safety and facility operations. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing twelve (12) commercial, off-the-shelf automatic single bi-fold sliding door assemblies. This includes setting the assemblies into prepared openings, anchoring them, applying sealant at anchor points, and adjusting and calibrating them for proper operation. The contractor will also install separate transmitter push button(s) and receiver components, surface mounting them at designated locations and connecting them to the doors. The installation support is limited to connecting to Government-provided, pre-terminated wiring, and does not include electrical wiring, conduit installation, or wall modification. Products offered must meet specific salient characteristics, including being commercially available, suitable for continuous-duty operation in a healthcare environment, and equipped with integrated safety features. The door systems must be compatible with Government access control systems and able to interface with separately installed access control devices. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price contract for this requirement.
