Description
Orange County, New York is soliciting bids for an aqueous liquid calcium nitrate solution used to remove hydrogen sulfide, prevent odor and corrosion in wastewater collection and treatment systems, and reduce biochemical oxygen demand. The product must meet specified nitrate-oxygen content, specific gravity, pH, freezing-point, safety, compatibility, and performance requirements, including reducing dissolved hydrogen sulfide to less than 0.1 mg/L. The supplier must provide delivery by tanker truck to the Orange County Correctional Facility pump house, technical assistance within 48 hours, delivery within five days of order placement, three current references with contact information, distribution-center information, technical documentation, a safety data sheet, and case studies. The initial term is one year, with up to two additional one-year extensions and a possible short administrative extension. The solicitation requires a physical, sealed bid and prohibits faxed or emailed bids.
