Description
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is seeking an architectural consultant and multidisciplinary subconsultant team—including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering, commissioning, cost estimating, and furniture specialists—to provide complete design and related services for the fit-up of approximately 2,500 square metres in Building 405 and Modular Unit 302 at 1426 St. Joseph Boulevard, Orléans, Ontario. The work includes reconfiguring offices and operational spaces, renovating a cafeteria into office space, converting space to lockers, modernizing a modular office, integrating furniture and building components, and coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life-safety, security, telecommunications, audiovisual, and accessibility requirements. Required services span risk management, pre-design investigation and code analysis, construction documents, furniture procurement support, tender support, construction administration, commissioning, field reviews, post-construction closeout, warranty support, record drawings, and operations and maintenance documentation. Deliverables must generally be provided in both English and French, and the consultant team must obtain Enhanced Reliability Status security clearances. The estimated construction cost is CAD 3,026,020, excluding applicable taxes and consultant fees; the consultant contract is stated as 30 months from award, with options to extend to align with the related construction and warranty periods.
