Description
Fisheries and Oceans Canada is conducting a two-phase qualification process for rehabilitation of the breakwater in Fortune, Newfoundland and Labrador. The work includes removing portions of the existing breakwater, demolishing and removing the reinforced-concrete deck and wall above existing SSP cells, cutting and removing SSP cells to specified elevations, reusing stockpiled materials, supplying and installing new armour stone, and removing the existing navigation light in coordination with the Canadian Coast Guard. Phase 1 requires bidders to demonstrate relevant marine-construction experience through two reference projects completed within the seven years preceding bid closing, provide proof of active WorkSafeNL registration in good standing, and certify compliance with applicable Canadian occupational health and safety requirements. Qualified bidders will be invited to Phase 2 to submit financial bids based on specifications and drawings. The contractor must complete the work within 24 weeks of contract award.
