Description
The University of Wyoming seeks a new recirculating river flume system for three-dimensional bedform morphodynamics experiments. Minimum specifications include an approximately 16-meter-long, 1.1-meter-wide, and 0.8-meter-deep tank; pumps capable of approximately 165 L/s with adjustable speed via a variable-frequency drive; and the ability to recirculate water and quartz sand up to 2 mm in grain diameter. A dry-back wave maker with control software and a wave runup dampener must also be included. Bidders must be manufacturer partners in good standing and propose new equipment with a manufacturer’s warranty for U.S. purchases. Proposed equivalents are permitted if they meet or exceed the specifications, subject to the University’s approval. The award is all-or-nothing for one unit. The supplier must provide the earliest delivery date and current lead time; the University will handle placement and installation after delivery.
