Description
The San Francisco Unified School District is soliciting proposals for a wireless local area network infrastructure upgrade. The scope includes new wireless access points; wireless controllers; network equipment, modules, antennas, connectors, and related components; applicable software and licenses; a dedicated guest-traffic security gateway; and related technical services. The district expects the proposed solution to support existing Ruckus access points, centralized provisioning and management, virtual-controller deployment on Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere, high-scale WLAN management, guest-traffic tunneling, and migration from an existing hardware controller cluster. Refurbished equipment will not be accepted. Proposers must complete the district's equipment response template, identify E-Rate eligibility, and submit a narrative proposal and separate cost proposal. The response package must include a cover letter, signed E-Rate supplemental terms and conditions, the equipment response template, and a signed purchase agreement. The equipment response template must be submitted in Excel format, while the proposal materials must otherwise be submitted as PDF email attachments. The contract has an initial three-year term with two district options of up to two years each, for a maximum term of five years.
