Description
Canadore College is soliciting a stipulated-price contract for rehabilitation of the concrete dam on its campus. The work includes temporary water diversion, damming and dewatering; dredging and excavation; temporary shoring; localized concrete repairs; spillway demolition and reconstruction; reinforced concrete wing walls, slab and walkway; reinforcing steel, dowels, rock anchors, stop logs and guides; geomembrane waterproofing; granular fill and riprap; railing reinstatement; environmental controls; testing, inspections, traffic control, cleanup and demobilization. The bid must include the tender submission and price schedules, 10% bid security, an agreement to bond/consent of surety, insurance documentation, WSIB certification, subcontractor and equipment lists, labour and equipment rates, experience references, senior staff qualifications, a preliminary Gantt-chart construction schedule, conflict-of-interest declaration, Ontario business attestation and domestic supply chain plan. The anticipated work commencement is in November 2026, with substantial performance required by March 31, 2027. A mandatory site meeting is required for general contractors, and the contract requires 50% performance and 50% labour and material payment bonds after award.
