Description
Sarpy County seeks a contractor to rehabilitate Bridge 15 on 36th Street over Big Papio Creek. Base work includes replacing bridge expansion joints, removing and replacing approach roadway and pavement sections to correct the roadway profile, replacing damaged guardrail, coordinating with utilities, maintaining traffic control, and reinstalling pavement markings. The plans also include an additional alternate for bridge deck shotcrete repairs and associated bird netting; bidders are asked to provide pricing with and without this alternate. The work must follow the project plans and Nebraska Department of Transportation standard specifications. The contractor must provide a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid price with the electronic bid. The selected contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds after award. The solicitation requests company information and at least three comparable project references from the prior two years. The contractor may not subcontract without prior written County consent and must identify proposed subcontractors in the proposal.
