Description
The Mahoning Valley Sanitary District is soliciting bids to furnish and deliver approximately 100–150 tons of polyquaternary amine in water for its water purification plant from January 1 through December 31, 2027. The chemical must comply with NSF/ANSI 60 and 61 and applicable AWWA requirements, and must meet specified appearance, viscosity, pH, solubility, vapor pressure, density, chlorine-resistance, and freeze-thaw-stability requirements. An equivalent product may be proposed if the bidder demonstrates equal or better performance without negatively affecting filter run times. The contractor must deliver the chemical by truck as ordered, maintain an 8–55-gallon drum inventory, and provide delivery within 24 hours of receiving an order. Freight is prepaid by the contractor. Bidders must submit material-quality information, certified representative-sample analysis results, and required bid documentation. A bid guaranty equal to 10% of the bid based on the highest estimated usage is required, and the successful bidder must provide a performance bond for the full contract amount. The successful bidder must also submit a delivery contractor safety plan after award and provide compliant labels and safety data sheets.
