Description
Botetourt County Libraries is soliciting proposals for fully managed dedicated Internet Access with Transport service at Eagle Rock Library and Fincastle Branch Library, with bandwidth options from 1 Gbps through 2 Gbps. The solicitation also requests shared Internet Access bundled with Transport service at Blue Ridge Library, with the same bandwidth range and no symmetrical-bandwidth requirement. Dedicated services must provide committed bandwidth without usage caps or throttling and must terminate at each building's MDF demarcation point. Proposals must include all monthly recurring, non-recurring, and special construction charges, along with applicable taxes and surcharges, E-Rate-eligible and ineligible costs, at least one or two static IP addresses as specified by location, and router lease options and pricing. Vendors must include site delivery, construction, permitting, pathway, and right-of-way costs. Contracted-service pricing is requested for 36-month and 60-month terms, with optional two additional 12-month extensions; month-to-month offers will also be considered. Services are needed effective July 1, 2027, and proposals must comply with applicable E-Rate, lowest-corresponding-price, and covered-communications-equipment requirements.
