Description
The District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) is seeking submissions for flooring and flooring repair services at its facilities. This is an as-needed contract initially for three years, beginning December 15, 2023, and ending December 14, 2026, with the possibility of three one-year renewals, extending the contract until December 14, 2029. The DSBN will pre-qualify multiple suppliers, and submissions are welcome at any time throughout the contract duration. Suppliers previously qualified do not need to reapply. The average work order will involve small maintenance and repair tasks, typically less than a day's labor, though larger jobs may occasionally be assigned. Services may include installation and repair of various flooring types such as Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT), Luxury Vinyl Tile, Terrazzo, Ceramic Tile, Rolled Flooring, and Wood Flooring (excluding gym flooring), as well as Vinyl Base. Associated work may involve demolition, preparation, removal/replacement of sub-flooring, and disposal of old materials. Contractors are expected to respond to general service requests within 24 hours and provide a completion timeline within one week, with billing based on submitted hourly rates. All work must adhere to applicable trade standards and meet the DSBN's satisfaction. Contractors must verify material availability before pricing projects and may be required to submit quotes for work that may not be awarded. The DSBN complies with Broader Public Sector Directives and applicable trade agreements.
