Description
NASA Ames Research Center requires commercial aviation services to support the Snow4Flow Earth Venture Suborbital-4 (EVS-4) mission, which aims to improve understanding of changes in Northern Hemisphere glaciers. The services include providing, modifying, and operating a Basler BT-67 aircraft with crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI). This also encompasses engineering and aircraft modification for the Snow4Flow instrument suite, ensuring compliance with FAA/Transport Canada Civil Aviation airworthiness standards and NASA's airworthiness review process. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price (FFP) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) type with a five-year ordering period and a six-month option. The services will support three planned Arctic campaigns between 2027 and 2029, covering locations such as Alaska, the Yukon Territory, Svalbard, Greenland, and the Canadian High Arctic, with potential for additional airborne science task orders. The initial task order is expected to cover instrument integration support and the start of the 2027 Alaska Arctic campaign.
