Description
Merced County seeks bids from qualified manufacturers or authorized distributors for one new two-horse trailer, delivered FOB. The trailer must meet the detailed specifications, including specified dimensions, axles, brakes, wheels, lighting, horse-area features, and dressing-room features; deviations or alternative components will not be considered. Bidders must upload a vehicle specification sheet and a visual layout or drawing showing the proposed trailer design, dimensions, and component placement. A formal quotation may be uploaded but does not replace the bid pricing entered in the electronic solicitation system. An itemized exception page is required if taking exceptions; otherwise, the County will assume full compliance with the specifications. The bid package also includes a signature sheet that must be completed and returned with the bid. Insurance certificates and endorsements are required before work begins and as a precondition to the agreement, not with the bid. The County evaluates bids based on responsiveness, responsibility, price, and other stated factors, including a local-business purchasing preference when applicable.
