Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Purchases for the Division of Equipment, is soliciting a master agreement for truck-mounted highway material spreaders. The procurement includes six 13- and 16-cubic-yard stainless-steel hopper spreaders for tandem- and tri-axle dump trucks, designed to distribute granular and liquid deicing materials. Required features include hydraulic conveyor and spinner systems, liquid calcium dispensing systems with reservoirs and controls, stainless-steel construction, mounting and hold-down equipment, beacon lights, hoses and fittings, leg stands, manuals, pre-service, and a one-year warranty. The solicitation also includes optional offset chutes and upgrades to two 230-gallon liquid tanks for both spreader sizes, plus a parts line requiring a percentage discount from the manufacturer's list price. Quantities are estimates, and the agreement may be used by specified state agencies and eligible political subdivisions. Bids are evaluated on price and delivery time, with all lines required for consideration. The initial contract period runs from award through October 31, 2027, with four additional one-year renewal periods available.
