Description
The Town of Keene is requesting proposals for electrical upgrades at its facilities building, cold storage building, heated storage area, Transfer Station connection, and Community Center Pavilion. The work is intended to satisfy National Electrical Code and New York State Electrical Code requirements identified in a July 23, 2026 inspection report. The scope includes replacing the cold storage building's electrical panel with a main breaker, installing and connecting a ground rod, removing NM cable and replacing it with MC cable or conduit, refeding the heated storage area with compliant wiring in metal conduit beneath the driveway, and bringing the pavilion's overhead lighting up to code. Proposals must also include a separately priced optional upgrade to a 75 kVA transformer and 200-amp service, along with replacement of UF wire with 1/0-gauge wire; these optional upgrades are not required for compliance.
