Description
The City seeks a complete turnkey replacement for the existing optical sorter at its materials recovery facility: a near-infrared hyperspectral imaging sorter with dual-eject capability and a 60-inch-wide by 20-foot-long acceleration conveyor. The scope includes supporting structure, controls and plant integration, removal of the existing sorter, mechanical and electrical installation, engineering and drawings, shipping, startup, commissioning, operator and maintenance training, and warranty and support information. Bidders must provide pricing through the procurement system’s line-item tab and submit equipment technical documentation, a project schedule and installation/outage plan, and performance guarantees and testing information. The proposed outage schedule may not exceed nine total days, including no more than five days interrupting normal operations. The City anticipates awarding to one contractor based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid.
