Description
Northern Health is seeking proposals for housing and related services in Prince Rupert for health care staff who are temporarily working in the region or relocating to the community. The accommodation must have at least three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a bedroom-to-bathroom ratio no greater than 2:1. The desired occupancy start date is December 1, with an earlier start date potentially negotiable. The provider is expected to supply furnishings and general household provisions, seasonal grounds-keeping, general cleaning of common areas and bedrooms, wireless internet, lockable bedroom and bathroom doors, functioning smoke alarms, an ABC-class fire extinguisher, parking, laundry, and major appliances. Proposals that include all utilities or a dishwasher are preferred. Proximity and walkability to the community health care facility will be considered. The maximum annual budget is tied to the community market rate; no fixed amount is stated. Vendors must disclose real or perceived conflicts of interest and are expected not to displace existing tenants.
