The Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries is seeking an annual sole-source agreement from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, for Progroup Sterile Pipette Tips-96 (Item T00802) and 100 ml Reservoir Liners (Item RTL1600) used with the proprietary WellPro Liquid Handling System. Substitutes are not allowed for the referenced products. The pipette tips must use compartmented reinforced racks, include clip locks designed for WellPro liquid heads, and be RNase- and DNase-certified and sterile. The solicitation requests pricing by case for 125 cases of pipette tips and six cases of reservoir liners at the Auburn laboratory, 75 and six cases respectively at the Boaz laboratory, 40 and six cases at the Hanceville laboratory, and 30 and six cases at the Elba laboratory, plus estimated freight charges for each location. Suppliers offering alternatives, where permitted by the solicitation language, must provide complete model or part numbers and descriptive or technical literature; however, the solicitation also states that no substitutes are allowed for these proprietary items.
