Description
The San Mateo County Transit District anticipates issuing an Invitation for Bids for the Hick's Creek Habitat Mitigation Project. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services necessary to remove manmade infrastructure from Hick's Creek and Hick's Tributary, including concrete and rock masonry retaining walls and a relict swimming pool. The project also includes fish passage improvements through removal of a four-foot channel drop, stream restoration, riparian and upland plantings, invasive plant removal, and replacement with native species. The anticipated contract term is 333 days, with one lump-sum award. The estimated bid value is approximately $6 million to $7 million. A California A or C-27 license is required, and the solicitation identifies 10% bid, 100% payment, and 100% performance bonds.
