Description
The U.S. Embassy in Madrid plans to solicit cleaning services for approximately 110 government-leased apartments and single-family homes, as well as one temporary-duty apartment. The work includes cleaning residences before new occupants move in, cleaning the temporary-duty apartment after each guest departs, and providing weekly touch-up cleaning during guest stays. The contractor will provide labor, supervision, supplies, and equipment, except for limited items supplied by the Government. The Government anticipates multiple firm-fixed-price IDIQ awards, each with a 12-month base period and three 12-month option periods. Offerors must have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing in Madrid, hold required Spanish licenses and permits, maintain active SAM registration before award, demonstrate relevant past performance in Spain, provide a project manager who understands written and spoken English, and carry the insurance specified in the forthcoming solicitation. This is a presolicitation notice, not an open request for quotations; the notice states that offers will not be accepted electronically and will instead be mailed or hand-delivered to an address to be provided in the solicitation.
