Description
The City of Bakersfield is soliciting bids for six new, unused 2026-or-newer electric four-wheel-drive one-ton super-cab pickup trucks. Each vehicle must have a minimum 11,400-pound GVWR, 16,000-pound towing capacity, 4,000-pound payload, dual electric motors producing at least 620 horsepower, 200 kW Level 3 DC fast charging, and a minimum 350-mile EPA-estimated range. Required equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, telescoping tow mirrors, a rear-view camera, trailer brake controller, Class IV receiver hitch, trailer-light connector, air conditioning, power locks and windows, vinyl 40/20/20 seating, and a white exterior. Battery, power-unit, and bumper-to-bumper warranties are specified. The bid must include the City-provided bid form, completed specification responses, supplier profile, vehicle literature or brochures, warranty information, and required signatures. The supplier must provide delivery, registration documentation, operator and maintenance training, and a parts and service facility within a 24-hour response time. The estimated bid value is $855,000, and the City may purchase additional units at the same unit price for 12 months after bid acceptance.
