Description
Metra is soliciting electronic bids for a firm-fixed-unit-price contract covering a broad range of two-way radio equipment and accessories. The requested items include Motorola APX NEXT, APX 8500, R7, XPR, and MOTOTRBO radios; portable and mobile radio units; SLR8000 repeaters; remote speaker microphones; headsets; batteries; desktop, vehicle, travel, and multi-unit chargers; antennas; holsters and belt clips; control heads; cables; power supplies; mounting hardware; speakers; wire and stainless-steel banding; and related accessories. The specifications also include five-year software and service licenses, programming, provisioning, SmartConnect, SmartLocate, and other enablement services. Bidders must bid all items in the applicable group to be responsive, provide manufacturer and model information, include specification sheets and itemized parts lists, and include all shipping and handling charges on an FOB Destination basis. Brand-name items may be replaced with approved equals, subject to Metra's requirements. The contract term is 36 months, with a total contract value not to exceed $2,500,000.00; quantities are estimates and do not guarantee purchases.
