Description
The Military Installation Development Authority is soliciting a general contractor for the Hill Aerospace Museum Gateway Expansion at Hill Air Force Base. The work includes a new approximately 81,742-square-foot aircraft exhibit hall, an approximately 4,600-square-foot connector building with restrooms and service spaces, an approximately 2,480-square-foot gift shop addition, a new tunnel, remodeling of the existing gift shop, and site improvements including gravel and concrete aprons, vehicle barriers, fencing, utilities, and related civil work. The contractor must provide complete construction services, including demolition, concrete, masonry, structural steel, roofing, exterior envelope, doors and storefronts, finishes, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, telecommunications, fire alarm, fire protection, security, earthwork, stormwater utilities, phasing, temporary facilities, safety, quality control, Davis-Bacon compliance, and commissioning. The base performance period is six months. A mandatory site visit is required, and proposals must include separate technical and cost proposal files. The technical proposal must address qualifications, key personnel, project approach, schedule experience, at least three similar projects completed within the last eight years, risk identification and mitigation, and a critical-path schedule prepared using P6, Microsoft Project, or Phoenix.
