Description
Nassau County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a qualified firm to lead countywide economic development efforts. The selected firm will support recruitment, creation, retention, and expansion of businesses; promote economic diversification and better-than-median employment opportunities; maintain an inventory of available buildings and industrial sites; and cultivate relationships with economic development, workforce, education, utility, transportation, and regional partners. The scope also includes supporting public-private partnerships, grant opportunities, economic development policies and planning, workforce training initiatives, infrastructure-related investment opportunities, and business outreach. The contractor must provide quarterly written reports and Board presentations covering specified performance metrics, as well as a final written report at the end of each calendar year. The initial contract term ends September 30, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewal terms.
