Description
The Borough of New Providence is seeking a contractor for NJDOT FY2025 and FY2026 improvements to Union Avenue between Springfield Avenue and Mountain Avenue. The work includes milling, paving, HMA pavement repairs, compliant curb installation, sidewalk and curb repairs, driveway apron repairs, ADA-compliant curb ramps, traffic striping and markings, and related improvements shown in the construction plans. The project also includes paving within the New Jersey Transit right-of-way and coordination with New Jersey Transit. The solicitation has two base bids covering separate roadway segments, and all work must be completed within 90 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit the standard proposal forms, a statement of consent of surety, and either a bid bond or certified check meeting the stated security requirement. A performance bond and labor and material payment bond for the full project amount will be required of the successful bidder.
