Description
The City of Imperial Beach is seeking a qualified traffic engineering firm for as-needed services related to capital improvement projects, redevelopment and private development applications, traffic and civil design, and public safety issues. Required capabilities include traffic signal design and timing, traffic impact studies, traffic operations analysis, worksite traffic control, speed surveys, accident analysis, circulation planning, congestion management, traffic calming and bicycle facility design, peer review, traffic striping plans, staff training, meetings, and presentations. The consultant must provide California-registered traffic and civil engineers, support utility review and final plan preparation, comply with applicable prevailing-wage and California Department of Industrial Relations requirements, and provide a schedule of rates. The anticipated agreement is for an initial three years with two additional one-year renewal options, for a maximum term of five years. The City intends to award a contract to a single consultant. Proposals must include the specified qualifications, experience, personnel, task and deliverable protocols, insurance information, and a sealed schedule of rates. Addendum No. 1 must be acknowledged, signed, dated, and included with the proposal.
