The Department of National Defence is gathering information about providers able to deliver a customized automotive technician training program for Canadian Army members. The proposed training combines classroom instruction, demonstrations, laboratory activities, and hands-on shop work covering vehicle systems, engine maintenance, diagnostics, brakes, suspension, electrical and electronic systems, drivetrains, and general vehicle maintenance. Providers are asked about their facilities, equipment, instructors, cohort capacity, curriculum customization, student support, accommodation and meal options, delivery schedules, and cost drivers. The RFI describes three progressive training modules or cohorts, each approximately 30 days, to be delivered during the summer period. Responses are voluntary, need not address every question, and will not be formally evaluated; this request is for market research and does not itself lead to a contract award. No set response format is specified.
