Description
The Regional District of Central Okanagan is soliciting proposals from experienced organizations to provide curbside collection of garbage and yard waste from approximately 65,536 single-family dwellings. Services will cover defined zones within Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Peachland, and portions of Central Okanagan Electoral Areas West and East. Recyclables collection is excluded and is managed separately by RecycleBC. The service term is 10 years, commencing May 1, 2029, and expiring April 30, 2039. The district anticipates executing the contract by April 30, 2027, allowing the successful respondent at least two years to order equipment and prepare for service commencement. The procurement is subject to the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement, and the Canada–United Kingdom Trade Continuity Agreement.
