Description
The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind is soliciting proposals to demolish and replace the existing athletic wood flooring and telescoping bleachers in Settles Gymnasium, Building 17, Room 201. The approximately 11,416-square-foot project includes a resilient subfloor system, Northern Hard Maple athletic flooring, finishes and game-line striping, new telescoping bleachers with accessible seating, closure curtains, a modular video platform, operating systems, testing, adjustments, and training. The work also includes associated electrical and low-voltage modifications, including relocation or replacement of affected floor boxes, receptacles, controls, raceways, wiring, speakers, data, security, and fire-alarm devices. Contractors must provide permits, shop drawings, product data, installation plans, as-built drawings in PDF and CAD formats, and coordination with concurrent campus projects. Installation is scheduled between February 15 and June 11, 2027, with final completion due by July 31, 2027. The solicitation requires Florida licensing, a 5% bid bond, evidence of ability to provide 100% payment and performance bonds, insurance, and a mandatory pre-response meeting and site visit for qualified respondents.
