Description
Huntington School District 16J is requesting proposals for fully managed, leased lit fiber transport to provide wide area network services and unbundled internet access. The service must provide dedicated symmetrical 1 Gbps transport, scalable from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps, between the designated hub and district service location, with service-level commitments including 99.99% network availability, no more than 0.5% packet loss, no more than 25 ms latency, no more than 10 ms jitter, one-hour outage response, and four-hour restoration. Proposals must address demarcation, network design, path diversity, service monitoring, escalation, and implementation timelines. If required, the work may include special construction, permitting, engineering, project management, fiber installation, pathway and conduit work, restoration, labeling, and as-built documentation. Proposers must submit a detailed logical network diagram and geographic fiber pathway map identifying construction type, ownership, subcontracted providers, splice points, and demarcations. The response must include a service description, SLA, implementation timeline, demarcation details, network diagram and pathway map, sample contract, three similar-project references from the past five years, pricing, and the specified proposal attachments. The proposal is limited to 50 pages, with attachments excluded from that limit, and must be submitted electronically in PDF, DOCX, and/or XLSX format through the designated portal.
