Description
Aéroports de Montréal is conducting a qualification process for the P1 proximity parking project at Montréal–Trudeau International Airport. The project involves constructing an approximately 6,000-space parking garage over seven levels: six above-ground floors and one temperature-controlled underground level. Access to the terminal will be provided through pedestrian bridges connected at Level 5. The planned work includes civil, structural, and related infrastructure work under a general-contractor package, as well as building disciplines—including architecture, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems—under a construction-manager package. The proposed facility will use a cast-in-place reinforced-concrete primary structure and include vertical circulation blocks with elevators. The project presents coordination challenges involving a constrained site, concurrent adjacent projects, aviation height restrictions, structural, building-system and fire-protection interfaces, and a retention basin beneath the future garage. Qualification submissions require administrative, occupational-health-and-safety, financial, technical, and similar-project information. ADM anticipates 50% performance and 50% labor-and-material payment bonds based on the contract price, including applicable taxes.
