Description
Parks Canada Agency is seeking an engineering or architecture consultant for an options analysis supporting a new asset compound at Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Required services include topographic survey plans using existing LiDAR data; comparison of primary-building and cold-storage-building types; Class D construction and life-cycle cost estimates; schematic site development layouts; preliminary site development scheduling; and a preliminary geotechnical investigation with on-site testing and erosion, sedimentation, stormwater, and groundwater mitigation recommendations. The primary building is approximately 7,000 square feet and will include offices, washrooms, conditioned storage, wood and metal shops, and specialized HVAC areas. Cold-storage facilities will total approximately 5,500 square feet. The consultant must also complete a 40-year life-cycle cost analysis with energy modeling for the selected primary-building type. Optional services include a climate change risk analysis and preliminary schematic floor plans and elevations. Deliverables include reports, tables, drawings, schedules, and cost estimates, with drawings in PDF and DWG formats and tables in Excel and PDF formats. The contract period runs from contract award through March 31, 2027, with required deliverables scheduled between December 2026 and March 2027.
