Description
The Indian Health Service seeks a contractor to provide up to eight qualified registered nurses for continuous emergency department coverage, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. The contractor is responsible for recruitment, credentialing and privileging, scheduling, supervision, replacement staffing, and management, as well as emergency nursing care, patient monitoring, medication administration, treatment support, documentation, care coordination, and patient education. Nurses must meet the stated licensure, experience, certification, health, background-check, and orientation requirements. Services may also include support in other patient-care areas when needed and within the nurse’s qualifications, without reducing emergency department coverage. The contract has a four-month base period and fourteen four-month option periods, for a potential total of 60 months. The solicitation is set aside for eligible Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises. Proposals are evaluated on past performance, technical approach, management approach, and price using a best-value tradeoff. The proposal must include a completed price schedule, technical and management approaches, the required Buy Indian Act/ISBEE representation, and the other items listed in the submission instructions.
