Description
The Space Development Agency (SDA) is seeking innovative architecture concepts, systems, technologies, and capabilities to advance its Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) aims to identify solutions that will enable leap-ahead improvements for future PWSA tranches and capability layers, or create new layers to address emerging warfighter needs. SDA is particularly interested in advancements within four key focus areas: Resilient Beyond Line-of-Sight Tactical Communications (RF, Optical), Advanced Target Custody, Warning, Tracking and Defeat, Advanced/Alternate Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT), and Global Battle Management. Proposals are encouraged to address specific needs within these areas, such as optical communication terminals, dual-use commercial architectures, advanced infrared sensors, GPS-agnostic navigation, network defense, and dynamic operations. SDA strongly encourages the submission of executive summaries in advance of full proposals to gauge interest and potential funding availability. The agency anticipates making multiple awards, potentially through procurement contracts or Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), to foster research and development that directly benefits warfighter capabilities in space.
