Description
The University of Alberta is seeking a contractor to design and implement a chemical treatment program for the condenser water system at its Cooling Plant On Campus. The system serves five 2,000-ton high-pressure centrifugal R134A chillers and five cooling towers connected through a common header system. The plant is exploring treatment options for a 95 m³ (25,000 U.S.-gallon) condenser water system, with operating temperatures from 13°C to ambient conditions that may reach approximately 40°C. The flow rate is 1,330 m³ per hour per chiller and per cooling tower. The proposed contract has an initial two-year term with two additional four-year renewal extensions, for a potential total term of ten years.
