This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) invites applications for investigator-initiated clinical trials aimed at reducing the burden of cancer. The trials should focus on improvements in early detection, screening, prevention, interception, healthcare delivery, quality of life, and/or survivorship related to cancer. Applications must meet the NIH definition of a clinical trial and provide specific trial information. This NOFO does not support clinical trials for cancer diagnosis or oncologic therapy. Proposed projects should align with the programmatic interests of the NCI Division of Cancer Prevention or the NCI Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences. Eligibility is broad, including various institutions such as Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, AANAPISISs, eligible agencies of the Federal Government, faith-based or community-based organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, HBCUs, Indian/Native American Tribal Governments, non-U.S. entities, regional organizations, TCCUs, and U.S. territories. Eligible applicant types include for-profit organizations other than small businesses, county governments, other Native American tribal organizations, small businesses, nonprofits (with or without 501c3), state governments, private and public/state institutions of higher education, other organizations, special district governments, independent school districts, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, public and Indian housing authorities, and city/township governments.
