This opportunity supports the NIH HEAL Initiative's Pain Care Clinician Training Program (PCTP) by providing awards for Mentored Clinical Scientist Development (K08). The program aims to foster a cohort of newly trained, independent investigators who will establish their own research programs focused on clinical research in pain management, as supported by the NIH HEAL Initiatives. Eligibility is broad, including various serving institutions (Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander, Hispanic-serving, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities), eligible federal government agencies, faith-based or community-based organizations, Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (other than Federally Recognized), and regional organizations. However, non-U.S. entities and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible. The funding instruments are grants, categorized under health, food and nutrition, education, and income security and social services.
