Description
The Bureau of Reclamation, through its WaterSMART program, is inviting eligible entities to submit proposals for water reclamation and reuse projects. These projects aim to increase water supply and hydropower reliability by developing new sources of clean water, enhancing flexibility during shortages, and improving overall water supply reliability. Eligible applicants include state, regional, or local authorities such as states, tribes, municipalities, irrigation districts, and water districts, as well as other organizations with water or power delivery authority. Applicants must be located in specific Western states and territories. Projects must either be one of the 53 Title XVI Projects specifically authorized by statute, provided they have not reached their Federal funding ceiling, or eligible under Section 4009(c) of the WIIN Act. Federal governmental entities, foreign entities, individuals, and institutions of higher education are not eligible to apply.
