Description
Shared Health Manitoba is procuring heart-lung cardiopulmonary bypass systems for adult and pediatric cardiac surgery programs. The scope includes perfusion monitoring, cardioplegia delivery systems, accessories, proprietary consumables, installation, commissioning, training, warranty coverage, post-warranty service and maintenance, and related technical and regulatory documentation. The systems must support real-time monitoring of perfusion parameters, integrated alarms, electronic perfusion records, procedural data storage, historical trends, and event logs. Addendum 2 clarifies that funding is in place for two units, with both required to be fully delivered and installed by March 31, 2027, and that funding is anticipated for one additional unit in Year 2. Pricing must be provided per equipment unit and must include proprietary consumables, parts, accessories, and other items required to operate the proposed equipment for the six-year evaluated total cost of ownership. The addendum also clarifies that heater-cooler units are not required, data-management systems are not required for evaluation, and proposed equipment must be compatible with the Diameter Index Safety System medical-gas connector used at St. Boniface Hospital. Shortlisted proponents may propose the clinical-evaluation timeline, subject to Shared Health approval.
