Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a single firm-fixed-price contract for non-personal grounds maintenance services at Lajes Field, the 65th Air Base Group, and off-base support sites. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other resources needed to maintain improved, semi-improved, unimproved, vegetative, inert, and rock-bed areas, including mowing, edging, trimming, debris and leaf removal, fertilization, lawn renovation, shrub and hedge pruning, and drainage-ditch maintenance. The scope also includes on-call tree pruning, emergency pruning, tree and stump removal, special cuts, and emergency or special-event services. The contractor must provide a quality control plan, weekly work-performed reporting, damage and accident reporting, qualified on-site management, commercial-grade equipment, and compliance with applicable environmental, safety, licensing, and base-access requirements. The solicitation provides a base period from February 1, 2027, through January 31, 2028, plus four one-year option periods, for a potential total duration of 66 months including the separate six-month extension option for evaluation purposes.
