Description
The United Nations Development Programme is seeking one consulting company to conduct an integrated assessment of climate-resilient horticulture and climate-smart water management in Uzbekistan. The work includes desk research, nationwide stakeholder consultations, field assessments in Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Tashkent regions, horticultural value-chain and market analysis, irrigation and water-resource assessment, climate-risk analysis, institutional assessment, and identification of priority investments and pilot interventions. The contractor must prepare an inception report, separate horticulture and water-management assessment reports, a draft integrated assessment and investment framework, and a final integrated report with supporting datasets, maps, GIS files, survey data, analytical models, and presentations. The assignment requires a multidisciplinary team covering horticulture, agricultural economics, irrigation, climate risk, stakeholder engagement, and GIS. The expected performance period is 120 calendar days from contract signature, with a target start date of November 1, 2026, and completion by March 1, 2027.
