Description
The United Nations Development Programme is seeking one local junior consultant to support Montenegro's Directorate for Climate Change and Sustainable Development. The consultant will provide technical, administrative, analytical, and coordination support related to climate-change mitigation and adaptation, national strategies and action plans, EU climate-acquis alignment, international climate obligations, climate-project development, stakeholder coordination, data management, reporting, presentations, and awareness-raising materials. The assignment is for up to 240 working days during a 12-month period from October 2026 through October 2027. Deliverables include analytical notes and policy briefs, inputs to strategic and monitoring documents, technical work supporting EU alignment and the Paris Agreement, coordination with international partners, datasets and records, meeting summaries, and monthly timesheets. The selected consultant must have higher education at the specified national qualification level, at least two years of professional or internship experience including one year in a relevant environmental, policy, project, sustainable-development, or civil-society field, and fluency in Montenegrin and English.
