This initiative seeks to promote the screening, functional validation, and characterization of genetic variants associated with human congenital anomalies (HCAs), intellectual developmental disabilities (IDDs), and inborn errors of metabolism (IEMs). Leveraging advances in genotyping and next-generation sequencing technologies, the project will utilize publicly available genomic data and in-silico tools, along with appropriate animal models, in vitro systems, or multi-pronged approaches. The goal is to address the gap between identifying potential sequence variations and recognizing those with functional effects on phenotypes. This is a grant opportunity with a focus on health and research infrastructure.
